Stickers So You Know What's Bitter

Hi guys,

I am getting some stickers printed up so when you add Bitter+Plus to antifreeze or any other roduct, you will know what tastes awful.

Just peel the sticker off the paper, and paste it on the bottle.

Why do you need stickers?

Simple.. that way you don't add Bitter+Plus twice to it. There's no need to make it taste awful again.

I'll let you know how it looks when I have them ready,

Roger

Instructions Information Part 1

Here is part of the instruction sheet... Let me know what you think.

"BITTER+PLUS Bitter Tasting Additive is unbelievably vile. The bitter taste makes most household products taste so bad to pets that they will not want to take another lick.

The extremely bitter taste may help prevent accidental ingestion by older pets with poor vision or reduced mental functioning.

Combined with a total household safety strategy, BITTER+PLUS Bitter Tasting Additive is the next step that responsible pet owners can take to help their pets from licking something they shouldn’t."

Bitter+Plus Labelling

Hi,

Just thought I'd let you know that I've decided on the name of the bittering agent being called "Bitter+Plus".

Anyway, I was playing around with the label, and here is what I have come up with.

What do you think?

Antifreeze is Deadly to Children & Animals - Help Make it Safe

Over 16,000 people signed a petition to make antifreeze taste awful. As you know, antifreeze is very sweet to taste. Only a small amount can injure pets.

Anyway, this inspires me to get this product out to people who really want to do something about it. I read this quote from Helana Cichon, Florida, USA and it summed up what others feel;

"Too many animals suffer painful deaths, even endangered species. What is so difficult about making antifreeze unpalatable? Why can't companies simply do the "right thing"?"

Don't Put Your Dog In Danger - Add A Bittering Agent

Don't wait for your pet to be in a situation like this. Antifreeze is very sweet to taste.

It's very easy to add a bittering agent to make antifreeze taste disgusting.

You have the choice.

Roger

What Does It Look Like?

Here is a picture of what "Bitter It" looks like. It's a non toxic solution that is clearless... so it won't change the look of the product, just the taste. It has a slight smell, but it is close to being odorless.

Yeah, it comes with a dropper, so you can easily add it to antifreeze, or any other product you want to make taste yuck without getting it over your hands.

Anyway, I still need to put a label on it. If you have any ideas, leave me a comment.

Roger

What is the major ingredient of Bitter It?

I was asked by someone what is the major ingredient in "Bitter It". And the major ingredient is denatonium benzoate, the world's bitterst substance.

Anyway, all you need is 5 drops of Bitter It to make 500ml's very bitter. Just be careful not to get it on your hands, or you make get a taste of it.

What does it taste like?

Well, think of the most bitter thing in the world... then times that by 100!!!

Very yuck to taste.

Warning : Something Like This Can Kill You!

I was searching around the net, and saw how some people were using antifreeze around the home. As you can see from the picture, if someone was to drink this, it could be fatal.

Do not store antifreeze in drink containers!!! Even if you mark it as poison, there is still a chance that someone will drink it.

So even if you were to add "Bitter It" to something like this, you really should be trying to prevent someone from ever drinking it. "Bitter It" should be used as the last line of defense.

If you want to know to prevent poisonings in your home, then please read;

Add "Bitter It" To Windshield Washer

Hi Guys,

I wanted to let you know I have had people test "Bitter It" in Windshield washer and it worked well. A few drops of "Bitter It" made it very bitter to taste.

As you can see from the photo, windshield wash, antifreeze and other dangerous products can be in easy reach of our pets. Let's hope that more people take responsibility and if they see a spill, do something about it.

Cool News... It's Going Well

Hi Folks,

I had some good news from a friend who has been using "Bitter it" for the past 2 months. You see, Shane lives in an apartment in the city and keeps his cats indoors. Anyway, he has been adding "Bitter It" to a few different cleaning products around the home.

I wouldn't suggest it, but Shane added it to dishwashing liquid. (The reason I wouldn't suggest adding it to dishwashing liquid, is that people don't tend to rinse the soap off their dishes.... and becuase of this, they will get a bitter taste on the dishes.)

He did that because his cats would lick the side of the dishwashing liquid bottle. Anyway, because of the yucky taste, "Bitter It" has worked to stop his cats from licking it.

Cool stuff.

Antifreeze Kills Over 10000 Dogs Each Year

Looks like "Bitter It" is working well in all sorts of products. I have tried over 30 different household products and all are bitter to taste... well, more yuck than bitter.

Anyway, the most helpful one has been in antifreeze.

Why antifreeze?

Well, antifreeze is a product which kills around 10,000 dogs a year... and that doesn't include the children that go to hospital as well. At present, the manufacturers of antifreeze aren't made to add it into their products by law... so they don;t do it.

Anyway, by adding a few drops of "Bitter It", the antifreeze becomes bitter.

I'll take a video of me showing you how easy it is to add "Bitter It" into certain products around the home.

Add A Bittering Agent To Antifreeze

Hi folks,

Just wanted to let you know that friends were able to easily add "Bitter It" to antifreeze, coolants and ethylene glycol.

So if your waiting for companies to add denatonium benzoate into their products, you don;t have to wait any longer. You can do it yourself.

All you need to do is add a few drops, shake and it will be bitter to taste.

Cheers,

Keep Pets Safe This Summertime

Hi folks,

Summertime is a dangerous time for our pets. If you got to keep your dog in the car, make sure the window is down... the car can heat up pretty quick.

As for home, it's a good idea to lock household cleaning solutions in a cupboard. It's very easy for pets to get into cleaning solutions... and if they lick them, your pet may be in all sorts of trouble.

Take extra precaution around the home.

If you are using citronella this summer to keep mosquitos away, be careful your pets don't eat them. You see, this can cause problems to the nervous system... so keep it out of reach.

Cheers,

Roge

Easy To Add To Product As 1,2,3

I got an email today asking me if "Bitter It" is hard to use.

Well, in fact it is very easy.

All you need to do is add a few drops of "Bitter It" into whatever solution you want to taste yuck, shake it up, and your done.

I can't think of anything easier to help you add it into containers.

Anyway, if you do have any questions about "Bitter It", feel free to email me at rmvail@gmail.com

It Works : Bitter It with Glass Cleaner!

Great news,

I added a few drops of "Bitter It" to liquid glass cleaner and it was bitter to taste... excellent! Well, it tasted yuck! (I don't think you could ever get used to the taste)

Anyway, I wanted to show you a photo of the glass cleaning solution that has been "bittered".

My next big job will be to make stickers so I know which household products have been "bittered". I've got an idea, but if you have a suggestion, I'd like to hear from you.

Bye,

Roger

Hello And Welcome To My Blog

Hi Folks,

Thanks for visiting my blog.

Being my first post, I want to let you know that I have finally come up with a product that will make products around the home taste yuck.

Yeah, the reason why I am keeping this blog is to record my progress with "Bitter-It"....although, I still haven;t worked out a name for it... (if you have any suggestions, I'd love to hear it!)

Anyway, with so many pets and children getting into and swallowing household products that they shouldn't, I thought I'd try and do something about it.

Well, I'll keep this short, as I don;t want to bore you too much.

Cheers,

Roger
